  • Sadly we have had to dissolve the Sible Hedingham Twinning Association at the AGM on 25th February 2019 due to lack of members willing to stand as officers on the committee.  We have tried to attract new members but the interest in Twinning isn't there any more at the moment.
We only had 25 members and for various reasons they did feel able to volunteer for any posts.            Times change and costs go up and we haven't been able to fill the coach for the past two years.            This has happened too with the French group.
We have had some lovely times with the families in Choisy-au-Bac, they have been so kind                and friendly.  Most of us have visited and hosted particular families and this will continue
          privately in some instances.
The Twinning agreement will be kept in the Parish Office where it has always been and if
anyone would like to revive or know more about it please contact Les Mitchell (a stalwart of
the group) on 01787 460096.  He will store some of the records and beautiful photographs.
          Au revoir mes amis.

About us

Sible Hedingham and Choisy-au-Bac in Picardy, Northern France were formally twinned in 1992. This year 2017 is our 25th Anniversary.  Each visit takes place usually over one of the May bank holiday weekends. Anyone who lives in Sible Hedingham or the surrounding villages can join. The fees at the moment are £7.50 for adults, children are free, Companies/Associations £20. You don't have to speak French - but you will probably pick up a few phrases and sign language goes a long way. We hope to send out a newsletter soon and are planning more events for next year - hopefully one a month.  Watch this space. Our website is www.hedinghamstwinning.org.uk a membership form can be downloaded from there  or call our our secretary on 01787 461663 or chairman on 01787 460096
